To our community: Due to circumstances surrounding COVID-19, Clinical Research IO had to make the difficult decision to discontinue funding for Caretalk. We've decided to leave the website up as a resource for the community. Thank you so much to everyone who made this possible, and please enjoy!

Evaluate Your Stage of Alzheimer's & Explore Your Treatments

Reviewed by Benedict Albensi, PhD, BCMAS, CRQM

Alzheimer's disease progresses over many years (7 – 10 on average). Memory specialists and families find it helpful to categorize the disease in stages: mild, moderate, and severe. Different treatments are indicated for the different stages and the symptoms that are present at that time. Additionally, lifestyle interventions are always the first line of defense in slowing the progress of the disease.
To help determine the stage of your loved one's illness, select symptoms from the categories below (Function, Cognition, Behavior). Knowing the stage of disease will help you choose appropriate treatment options to help your loved one.
